How to play

Reach the lift. The glowing door with the orbiting stars ends the room.
Crates are tools. Stand next to one and press E to lift it over your head. Press E while running to throw it ahead; hold ↑ to toss it straight up; hold ↓ or stand still to drop it. Walk into a crate to push it.
Switches stay pressed while anything solid sits on them - a crate, or you. Blocks of the same colour and shape turn solid while the switch is held. Hatches of that colour drop a fresh crate each time the switch is pressed.
Spikes hurt you, never crates. A crate on spikes is a perfectly good step.
Thin ledges hold you from above only. Jump up through them; hold ↓ to drop down through.
Dashed gates seal into solid wall once something has passed through them - including you.
Bounce pads launch anything that lands on them. A thrown crate keeps flying.
One-tile crawlspaces knock a crate off your head. Push it through instead.
Notes (♪) hide in every room, usually inside walls that are not walls. Finish the room to keep one.

Tiny Crate is a browser-native reimagining of Tiny Crate, the crate-chucking puzzle platformer by HarmonyHoney, released into the public domain under the Unlicense. The movement model (pixel stepping, sub-pixel remainders, coyote time, corner correction), the switch / hatch / gate / hidden-area mechanics and the five-world structure follow the original; the rooms, art, sound, music, editor and solver here are new.
